The public’s growing need for healthcare services has been a major global trend in recent years. The coronavirus pandemic has only intensified this trend and has placed an unprecedented burden on the healthcare system in Russia and worldwide. The emergence and active spread of COVID-19 has forced the healthcare system to be flexible and quick to react and to deploy additional financial, human, and information resources. And while the effective mobilization of the healthcare system helped to stabilize the situation and serve as a catalyst for the development of new fields within healthcare, the industry now faces ambitious new tasks that include a great many new challenges.
