In "The Odyssey" complex circus acts are successfully combined with opera vocals, laser show and synchronized swimming. The role of the main character is performed by Alexei Konovalov, winner of international vocal competitions. The music was written by the composer Svyatoslav Melik especially for this performance, and the orchestra creates a special atmosphere, immersing the viewer in the very depths of the story.
The creators of the extravaganza sought not only to entertain the audience, but also to acquaint them with the ancient myths, as well as to touch on important themes of good and evil for everyone.

Its historical plotline is devoted to the fate comparison of two reformers on the throne: the Egyptian pharaoh Amenhotep IV and the Russian emperor Peter the Great. Despite the 3,000 years separating them, the author finds similar features in reforms carried out by the rulers. Mysterious stories surround Egyptian monuments and sculptures of St. Petersburg: the sphinxes on the Neva embankment, the Fountain of Witches on the Pulkovo Highway, the Egyptian Gate in Tsarskoye Selo.

The film was created in 2021 with the support of the History of the Fatherland Foundation, directed and written by Dmitry Zavilgelsky. The film revolves around a significant period in the history of Russian archeology, the beginning of the era of Soviet and later Russian expeditions in the Middle East. It tells the story of the first expedition of the Soviet Academy of Sciences in Egypt in 1961–1963. It was a great archaeological campaign that played a significant role in the history of science. The film features interviews with the children of the archaeologists who were members of the expedition – E. A. Vinogradova, M. B. Piotrovsky, M. L. Petrova, A. O. Bolshakov. The film's scientific consultant Alexei Krol talks about the development of the archaeological research of the Nubian expedition started 60 years ago, about the excavation work of the Research Institute of Anthropology of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

After his escape, the young man takes on a new name, the Count of Monte Cristo, and decides to take revenge on his enemies. The Russian version of the musical was staged by Miklós Gábor Kerényi (KERO), a long-time partner of the theatre.
